Leadership development for a management team

Background

The manager of an 8 person management team wanted to develop the managerial skills of the team, particularly in the areas of introducing new ways of working, influencing colleagues and working as a team.

Programme and method

An initial cultural audit to assess the current strengths and development needs of the team, four individual coaching sessions and two away days for the whole team.

Results

The outcome has been a marked improvement in the performance of the team as a whole. It is now recognised as the best performing management team.
